For puppies up to 5 1/2 months or younger on the first day of class.

In this class you and your pup will learn how to work together as a team, establishing a foundation for a lifetime of success. You will get all of your puppy-related questions answered in a supportive group environment. Specifically, the things we cover are:

  • Establishing good habits from the start; such as not jumping on people, house training, appropriate chewing and bringing things to you and giving them up, instead of stealing and running away.
  • Walking nicely on a leash
  • Responding to their name
  • Leave-it
  • Sit/down/stand/stay and release
  • Grooming/nail trimming

Puppies will also participate in supervised social time, some of it will be on-leash and when the puppies are ready, if they are compatible, there will be off-leash play time, also. In the process, you will learn how to monitor healthy play interactions.

There are two class locations: Clayton (Deer Park) and Spokane Valley. The training studio in Clayton is nestled in the woods with fenced areas for off-leash play and training. The facility in the Spokane Valley is in a more urban environment, located adjacent to Doggyland Daycare at 10021 E. Knox Avenue.
