First class for dogs over 6 months

For dogs 6 months or older on the first day of class.
This is a beginning class for dogs past the young puppy stage. The curriculum is the same as in the puppy class, but does not include social time. Specifically, the things we cover are:

  • Establishing good habits and turning bad habits around. Such as not jumping on people, house training, appropriate chewing and bringing things to you and giving them up, instead of stealing and running away.
  • Walking nicely on a leash
  • Responding to their name
  • Leave-it
  • Sit/down/stand/stay and release
  • Grooming/nail trimming
