First class for dogs over 6 months


For dogs 6 months or older on the first day of class.
This is a beginning class for dogs past the young puppy stage. The curriculum is the same as in the puppy class, but does not include social time. Specifically, the things we cover are:

  • Establishing good habits and turning bad habits around. Such as not jumping on people, house training, appropriate chewing and bringing things to you and giving them up, instead of stealing and running away.
  • Walking nicely on a leash
  • Responding to their name
  • Leave-it
  • Sit/down/stand/stay and release
  • Grooming/nail trimming

There are two class locations: Clayton (Deer Park) and Spokane Valley. The training studio in Clayton is nestled in the woods with fenced areas for off-leash play and training. The facility in the Spokane Valley is in a more urban environment, located adjacent to Doggyland Daycare at 10021 E. Knox Avenue.
